Our Mission:
The mission of Riverview United Methodist Church is to make Disciples of Christ.  We believe in salvation through grace as provided by God's sacrifice of his son, Jesus Christ.  We believe the church's duty is to deliver God's word and to emulate Jesus in caring for our fellow man.  We believe a strong church is built upon each member's personal relationship with Jesus Christ and upon the relationships forged by the congregation as we spread the word of God, care for one another and grow spiritually.


Preacher’s Corner  (from Sunday, February 7, 2010)

Jesus Christ opens doors, particularly the door of salvation.  However far along the road of salvation we happen to be is due entirely to the mercy and grace of Almighty God.

From the Bible we learn that it was not so much us walking up to the door and knocking as it was Jesus Christ standing at our door and knocking.  We also learn from the Bible that if we knock the door shall be opened.  But how do we arrive at the door to knock in the first place?  Does Satan or even the world, encourage us to knock at God’s door?  Hardly!  Certainly not!

We walk through God’s open door at the invitation of Jesus Christ.  “He loved me ere I knew him, and all my love is due him; he plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.”
